Joe Frazier had part of his arm amputated and his left hand burnt in a tractor mishap the year his son was born. Rubin Frazier & his wife, Dolly, were in their car when Arthur Smith, who’d been inebriated, drove by and attempted to seduce Dolly but was refused.
A neighborhood bartender, Stefan Gallucci, described the incident. When the Fraziers sped away, Smith fired several shots at them, hitting Dolly in the foot & Rubin in the arm.
